Salty Dog’s Grab-and-Go Kayaking Inc. was founded in 2023 after after years of paddling Grand Harbour at our leisure. We want to share this love and give people the chance to discover beautiful new horizons from a kayak.
When you rent with us, we will make sure you are comfortable and ready for your adventure. You will even get a little lesson on how the “Highest TIdes in the World” work – how cool is that?!
What makes us unique? Our location ONLY allows folks to “Ride the Tide”, which means we can only paddle around high tide. Guests will departure 2 hours before high tide and have up to 4 hours of kayaking! Why, you ask? When low tide hits the water leaves the harbour and brings about the solid ocean floor. Isn’t Mother Nature amazing?!

Depending on the weather, you may want pants or rain gear. Always check to see what the weather is doing before you come!
No. We will equip you with a kayak, paddle, and all of the gear to ensure your safety. Before every departure, guests will get assistance with pfds, get instruction on how to use their paddle, and have any questions answered. There are areas to paddle for all levels of kayakers, and we be sure to direct beginners to the best spot! This is a great place to build your confidence in a kayak.
